The name Quinta do Noval first appeared in records from 1715. The history of Quinta do Noval is marked by the actions of António José da Silva, a visionary and port operator, who acquired Quinta do Noval in 1894, after it was devastated by phylloxera.

This wine is the result of the most rigorous selection of grapes from the best plots throughout the property. Recognized for its intense fruit, remarkable volume and structure with a long and fruity finish as well as for the extraordinary complexity that Touriga Nacional and old vines provide when combined.

It is a wine that will improve a lot after a few years in the cellar, but it can also be drunk young when it shows all its exuberance.
