The name Quinta do Noval first appeared in records from 1715. The history of Quinta do Noval is marked by the actions of António José da Silva, a visionary and port operator, who acquired Quinta do Noval in 1894, after it was devastated by phylloxera.

It has a very dark colour and a notable aromatic intensity, with notes of wild berries and spices. Well polished in the mouth, it has a strong structure with good volume and very well integrated barrel notes.

This is a strong wine that combines freshness and purity of fruit that gives it a very long finish. Delicious to drink now, but will age beautifully in the bottle.
